Nidek Tonoref III
The Nidek TONOREF III is a powerful, space-efficient 4-in-1 diagnostic device that combines four critical eye measurements into one integrated system making it an essential tool for modern optometry practices. Its intelligent design helps streamline the patient workflow while delivering high-precision data for refraction, corneal curvature, intraocular pressure, and corneal thickness, making the pre- assessment journey as comfortable and efficient as possible.
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
An Optical Coherence Tomography Scan, more commonly known as an OCT scan, is a medical imaging technique that uses light to generate a detailed three-dimensional view of the different layers of your eye. It is a fast, completely painless, and incredibly accurate way for our specialists to see beyond the surface of your eye. Just like a CT scan allows doctors to see a 3D view of the inside of your body, an OCT allows our optometrists to examine every layer of your eyes, in very fine detail. Which then, in turn, assists in diagnosing a multitude of eye conditions at the earliest possible stage.
Perimetry (Visual Fields)
Perimetry is the systematic measurement of a person’s visual field, which is the entire area visible to an individual at one time. It is a diagnostic tool used to detect and map visual field defects, often caused by conditions like glaucoma, and is performed by having a patient identify light stimuli of varying brightness against a background. The results help doctors diagnose diseases, monitor their progression, and assess a patient’s overall visual ability.
We offer traditional analysis and testing on our Zeiss equipment and also using Virtual Field. Virtual Field’s accurate, high-quality visual field, colour vision and pupillometry testing incorporates the use of a user friendly head-set improving patient experience.
